The Rev. Amanda Katherine Gott, M.Div., S.T.M.
Rector
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Amanda enjoys life with her husband, Steven, and their toddler daughter, Katherine.  At various times in her life, Amanda has been a lifeguard, swim instructor, stage manager, theatrical lighting designer and electrician, kindergarten teacher, and a waitress in a shady jazz club that served fantastic beignets.

Amanda graduated from Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, with a Bachelor of Arts in 1996. She received her Master of Divinity from the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado in 2001.  After that, Amanda completed a year-long Clinical Pastoral Education residency at St. Anthony Hospitals in Denver.

Amanda continued her seminary studies at The General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church in New York City, where she received a Master of Sacred Theology.  Amanda was ordained in 2005.  Before coming to Grace and St. Peter’s, she served for four years as Assistant Rector at Church of the Good Shepherd in Nashua, New Hampshire.

The Rev. Carolyn Archer
Parish Deacon 

Ordained to the permanent diaconate in 2007 Carol spent nearly four years serving at Christ Church New Haven as parish deacon before coming to Grace & St. Peter’s. She has spent over 35 years employed in business administration and now works full time as a chaplain for a hospice agency. Carol resides in North Branford with her spouse Ann and their two German Shepherd Dogs.

Allison Batson

Church School Director

Allison, a life-long Episcopalian, is a long-time Hamden resident and has been a parishioner at Grace and St. Peter’s since 2006. She teaches preschool in New Haven and is the mother of one daughter, Whitney.
