Youth Group Schedule

Lent 2012

Sunday, February 26:

The St. Luke’s Steel Drum Band is playing at the Miller Library at 2:00 PM.  We will meet at church at after Coffee Hour (at approximately Noon) to make lunch together, eat the lunch we make, hang out and talk and pray, and then walk down the block together to go see the Steel Drum Band!  Parents are welcome to join us for this event!

The following three dates are preparation for the Great Vigil of Easter.  When we had a conversation in the Fall about “things we want to do this year,” members of the Youth Group were very excited about presenting, again, the Great Vigil of Easter to the congregation on Holy Saturday.  Attendance at ALL of these rehearsals, especially the one on the day of the Vigil itself (Saturday, April 7) is important for participation in the Vigil.  Please let me know if your teenager cannot make these rehearsal/preparation dates! 

 Sunday, March 11:

Easter Vigil preparation 11:30 AM (after coffee hour) – 1:30 PM. Lunch will be provided.

Sunday, March 25:

Easter Vigil preparation 11:30 AM (after coffee hour) – 1:30 PM. Lunch will be provided.

Saturday, April 7: The Great Vigil of Easter

Exact rehearsal time to be determined, but plan on most of the afternoon into the evening.  We will eat dinner together at the Church and stay after dinner to finish our preparations to lead the congregation in worship at the Great Vigil of Easter.  The service itself is at 8:00 PM.
